Pay attention to the instructional footage and make sure you ask the coaches at NewStars Elite, The Ulverstone Gym (via the Facebook pages or NewStars Elite group page) or your local trainer if you are unsure.
It would be possible (not compulsory) to achieve personal best results for all challenges in the one workout. The further you progress the more difficult this will be. If you do – YOU’RE AWESOME and you are on your way to greatness!
To establish a ‘Personal Best’ result, you will need to complete the challenge, record your result and then beat it another 2 times with each result improving from the previous. The third result is your PB. If it takes several attempts to record a PB (over and above the 3) the athlete must continue attempting until a PB is recorded. You will then need to beat your PB in future challenges. It may take several attempts to achieve a better result, any unsuccessful attempts are still contributing to your ongoing health and fitness goals.
This set of challenges requires no equipment. You will however, need a device to measure your running courses and time your runs. You also need to time your rounds on some of the other challenges.
Some of the challenges are tough and will require focus and discipline. They will develop mental toughness and perseverance.
Most of all – have fun – why not ask a friend to enrol with you? The challenges are individual but suitable for a champion and beginner to complete side by side.
