Rockin’ By The River
Rockin’ by the River is a unique event bringing together 3 days of fantastic music and entertainment in a stunning location. Come along and enjoy this BYO event, stay and camp out for the weekend, swim in the river, spot a platypus, laze in the sun, dance the nights away. Check out the stars, chill out around a fire pot, and feast on delicious food from a variety of food vans.
Celebrating Tasmanian muscians and incorporating a silent disco and an outdoor cinema experience, Rockin’ By The River is sure to be a fun filled weekend and is surely an event not to be missed!
Located in Sassafras, in Tasmanias beautiful north west, Lovetts Flats is a privately owned piece of paradise. With lush grassy paddocks, bounded on two sides by the stunning Mersey River. Platypus are often observed in the river and abundance of native birds and animals can be sighted. A short 22 minute drive from Devonport and a few minutes from Latrobe, the property is popular amoung locals who enjoy camping, swimming and fishing in the area.
INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW
*Dogs that are friendly and quiet are welcome if they can be contained at your campsite and on leads other times. You need to clean up all poos.
*Children are welcome and are free if under 13yrs. A standard ticket price applies to people 13 years and older.
Camping is free range so bring your swag, tent, caravan, or camper. This is included in the ticket price. Please be considerate when you set up.
*Vehicle movements are restricted for safety reasons; to driving in for set up and out on departure. Only 1 car per caravan per site. Those wanting to bring an extra vehicle will need to be parked in the car park located within the property near the entrance.
*For those that need to come and go during the event, you will also need to leave your car in the car park.
*This is a BYO event and there will be NO alcohol sales on site so please make sure you bring enough.
*GLASS-FREE EVENT. No drinking out of glass so come prepared!
*There will be portaloos for your use but no showers or mains power.
*Fires are only allowed in elevated firepots and there will be firepots available use onsite if you require one.
Wood can be purchased on-site – No scavenging wood from within the property.
*Gates open midday Friday 14th. Event and entertainment end Sunday night but you are welcome to stay another night. The final kick-out time is 2pm on Monday the 17th.
*You can access the river anytime but obviously, that’s at your own risk.
*Stupid heads will be asked to leave or thrown in the river to cool off….or both!
