Doone Falls
NewStars Elite’s Tassie Tops is all about experiencing Tasmania through the changing seasons, with a different hike challenge each season of the year.
This winter’s challenge was the 8 km return hike to Doone Falls via the coast and Lee Archer Cave.
We were expecting a cold, wet winter’s day, but the weather turned out to be perfect for hiking—no rain and just the occasional burst of wind.
As always, the best part was the company and conversations along the way.

Advice
Always be prepared for your hike and cover all safety aspects of weather, first aid, flora/fauna etc this particular day was windy in some spots, we kept an eye out for falling tree branches.
