Meander Falls
NewStars Elite’s ‘Tassie Tops’ event, is designed to complete a hike challenge in the changing terrain of the seasons.
Our Challenge for Winter this year was to do 2 hikes in 2 days!
The first day we hiked around the Dove Lake circuit and on the second day we hiked to Meander Falls.
A little more than half way into this 5 and a half hour return hike, we got a glimpse of this amazing waterfall and couldn’t wait to get closer.
A few steep hills got us there to see one of the most incredible waterfalls I have ever seen!!
The cliffs and river below had a lot of ice on them and you could feel the temperature drop but it was all worth it

Advice
Always be prepared for your hike and cover all safety aspects of weather, first aid, flora/fauna etc
