Mount Arthur
NewStars Elite’s ‘Tassie Tops’ event, is designed to complete a hike challenge in the changing terrain of the seasons in Tasmania.
Once again the weather has stopped us from hiking Mount Ossa.
Luckily our alternative was Mount Arthur situated in the North East of Tas.
We completed the 9km return hike in less than 5 hours with a few stops along the way and break at the summit.
The hike had a good balance of walking through the cool forest, scaling up over rocks, steep inclines and 360 degree views of Launceston, east coast ranges and north east coastlines.

Advice
Always be prepared for your hike and cover all safety aspects of weather, first aid, flora/fauna etc
Wind, sun and snakes were our most concern in this day but it turned out to be a beautiful day.
