Mount Dial

NewStars Elite’s ‘Tassie Tops’ event, is designed to complete a hike challenge in the changing terrain of the seasons.

Our Challenge for Autumn this year was to hike Mount Dial and hike to Thorsby Tunnel.

This was our second time summiting Dial, the first time we started from the Montgomery side and this time we started from the Gnomon car park. Once again the weather started off drizzly for the first part of the 3 hour return walk but got better throughout the day when we walked to Thorsby Tunnel which was less than a 1 hour return hike.
