TME Nature & Heritage Trail

In the year 2000 I worked with the Green Corps as a Conservation Volunteer and helped build a walking track through the old Tasmanian Metal Extraction site up on Williamsford.

Unfortunately it’s hard to find any information about this site and the information we did find back then is (like the track) not maintained and hard to recognise!

I remember it was the biggest import / export metal site in the southern hemisphere for a long while and many people worked here.

Advice

Be careful if your up here looking around, it’s barely a track anymore.
